As a DCEA employee, you may be eligible to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. PSLF is a program that forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan, while working full-time for a non-profit organization. However, your loan will only be forgiven in you meet all of the PSLF Program eligibility requirements. 
All Douglas-Cherokee full-time employees (excluding temporary and subs) receive the following benefits:
  • Up to 14 paid holidays per year
  • Paid sick leave
  • Paid vacation leave
  • State of Tennessee 401(K) savings plan

     

 
Full-time employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits:
  • Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System benefits
