New 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Available to All Employees!
ALL Douglas-Cherokee employees are eligible to participate in the State of Tennessee 401(k) savings plan. Any employee, no matter how many hours you work, is eligible to join. The main purpose of the 401(k) is to help you save and invest for retirement. When you make regular payroll deductions over a long period of time, your contributions can really add up, thanks to compounding-gaining earnings on what you already earned, as well as on your initial contributions. Your State of Tennessee 401(k) Deferred Compensation Program is not a short-term savings account. Many financial experts suggest setting aside a separate emergency fund for unexpected expenses.
