Location: Cleveland, TN

Program: Affordable Housing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must live on-site in apartment provided at complex.

  • Maintains facility in a clean and safe condition, insures that all repairs are completed as needed, grounds are maintained and facilities are secure.

  • Completes and maintains appropriate paperwork and files on tenants, including rent collections charts and purchasing accounts.

  • Maintains confidentiality of tenant and complex records.

  • Assists all who wish to apply for tenancy at complex.

  • Ensures that facility is in full compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances, regulations and codes.

  • Actively communicates with tenants and provides a minimum amount of assistance to make sure they are maintaining normal health habits.

Job Title: Delivery Driver

Location: Grainger, Hamblen, or Jefferson

Program: Senior Nutrition

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Insures meals are packaged correctly for home delivery clients and congregate sites.

  • Cleans coolers daily using soap, water and bleach. Also lifts and moves coolers and stock as needed.

  • Drives and delivers meals to the homes of all SNP home delivered meal participants on specified route.

  • Delivers meals to congregate sites and serve any registered congregate clients who come to eat at the site.

  • Maintains necessary and accurate paperwork (including route sheets, temperature logs, mileage logs, congregate sign-in logs) and turn paperwork into site supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Reports status of each client to Site Supervisor on a daily basis.

  • Helps kitchen staff prepare and package meals if needed.

  • Practices sanitary methods of food handling, including careful washing of hands, wearing plastic

  • Must use personal vehicle for meal delivery.

Job Title: Night Supervisor (2 positions)

Program: Upward Bound

Position Summary: Night supervisors ensure all students and facilitators are accounted for and safe after hours. Night Supervisors are responsible to make sure the dorms are locked down, quiet, and safe, while keeping a vigilant watch over the activity in each dorm in the absence of full-time Upward Bound staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision of students

  • Monitor hallways and lobbies of dorms to ensure students are in their rooms and the areas are clear of other people

  • Complete room checks to ensure students are in their rooms.

  • Report issues such as maintenance, safety concerns, etc. to Program Director

  • Perform inclement weather/fire/other safety hazard evacuation or hallway lineups

  • Help students get to breakfast in the mornings

  • Properly store and maintain the keybox cart

  • Maintain appropriate records and program forms/reports

Education:

  • Current college student (either graduate or undergraduate) in good academic standing

  • Must have completed at least 30 hours of college credit at time of application

Job Title: Site Coordinator

Location: Washburn

Program: LEAPs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall on-site management of the after-school program and compliance with state and federal 21st CCLC guidelines.

  • Provides supervision/management of daily activities.

  • Supervise and train tutors and volunteers.

  • Plans programming based on evaluation results.

  • Prepares sites for program start-up each year.

  • Plan and conduct activities with tutor assistance to ensure performance goals are met.

  • Ensure that schools have participating students flagged in the Student Information System.

  • Meet with school teachers/principals every six weeks to align the afterschool reading/language arts and math curriculum with the schools’ curriculum by unit.

  • Meet with the School Planning Team monthly to review progress and improve activities to meet performance goals

  • Plan and implement/coordinate Family Engagement activities, including monthly Coffee and Conversation events.

  • With the Project Director, plan and implement outreach/recruitment, student/family selection and enrollment, and student/family orientations.

Education:

  • Minimum requirement: B.S., Education, Tennessee Teacher Certification is preferred.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience implementing or supervising positive youth development programs for at-risk children or youth.

  • In-depth knowledge of working with children and youth in school environments

  • Commitment to assisting students and parents achieve their full potential

  • Should have appropriate knowledge and sensitivity to low-income participants and in outreach and recruitment of that group.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, counseling, psychology or social/human services field.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

Job Title: CSBG Lead Driver

Location: Central Office

Program: CSBG

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport DCEA program eligible clients to and from appointment.

  • Be alert of and meet the special needs of clients in route to and from the appointment.

  • Ensure routine maintenance of the agency vehicle to ensure it remains in good operating condition.

  • Perform safety checks/pre-trip inspections to enhance the possibility of providing accident-free transportation.

  • Schedule for major service of agency vehicle at agreed upon intervals.

  • Keep accurate mileage and maintenance reports to assure accountability for use of the vehicle.

  • Keep vehicle clean inside/out

  • Keep first aid kit and body fluid kit in usable condition to meet routine emergency needs.

  • Provide care for clients and the vehicle in case of an accident or break down.

  • Report all vehicle concerns/problems to the Administrative Operations Manager

  • Report all accidents as soon as possible, by phone to the Administrative Operations Manager. Follow up with a written accident report within 48 hours.

  • Maintain client transportation records for the NSC.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Applicants with MVR reports containing any of the following will not be considered for employment as a driver:

    • Conviction of any major driving violation

    • Conviction of more than three ordinary moving violations, or more than two chargeable accidents in the past 3 years,

    • Suspension or revocation of driver’s license,

    • A pattern of convictions for traffic offenses and the applicant’s capacity to safely operate a vehicle is questionable

    • DCEA reserves the right to approve or disapprove any applicant based on overall driving record

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • One year previous work experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, with an F endorsement, and have five (5) years driving experience and good driving record.

Job Title: Service Coordinator

Location: Knox/Lenoir City

Program: Affordable Housing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with seniors and residents in apartment complex to locate and refer to supportive services and other resources.

  • Assists residents to determine need for supportive services. Services could include transportation, meals, homemaker services, etc.

  • Educates residents on services available in the community.

  • Works with local service providers to determine available services in community to make referrals.

  • Prepares and maintains confidential and secure client files which include intake form, information on referrals, case management plan, notes and other items.

  • Participates in area aging network and local community groups related to aging.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field with at least 2 years’ experience in social service delivery with senior citizens and/or people with disabilities. Associates degree with significant experience may qualify.

Experience and Skills Requirements:
